Travel topped the roster for last week’s radio ad buys. But this week, finance sits at the top.
According to the Media Monitors charts for Jan. 21 to 27, BMO was the most prolific radio buyer in the Toronto market, with more than 1,200 spots purchased. The banks, credit unions, mortgages and financial services category was also the biggest collective buyer in the city.
Toronto’s top five were the Acura Dealer Association (up from #6), Sunwing (down from #1), the Nissan Dealer Association (down from #3) and Air Transat (up from #10).
A new entrant in the top 10 was CIBC, coming in at #7.
While auto manufacturers and dealers didn’t take centre stage in Montreal, cars were still big on the radio. The city’s annual Auto Show purchased 576 ads, staying at the top for another week. Below that were BMO (up from #4), CTV (down from #2), RedTag.ca (down from #3) and Pharmaprix (staying put at #5).
The lone new entrant to Montreal’s top 10 was Educ’alcool at #7.
The banks and finance category was also #1 in Montreal, upping its total buy to 811 (up from 674 last week).
