People Moves: UM, Rec Media and more

Plus, Reprise and Conversion Digital have bolstered their ranks.

UM ups Juan Panlilio

Juan Panlilio is now senior director of decision sciences at UM. Panlilio had previously served in the director position for three years and has been with the IPG Mediabrands agency since 2014. He now leads a five-person team that focuses on media intelligence, working on planning, programmatic, search and social. Panlilio, who has also worked on the brand side (Labatt) and media side (TVO) was the first winner of Media in Canada‘s New Establishment award for media.

Rec Media adds new VP

Rec Media, which specializes in selling media in gyms and athletic recreational facilities, has hired Rob Sinasac in the role of VP, sales. Sinasac has been in the industry for more than 20 years, specializing in outdoor and place-based media. Most recently, he served as VP and general sales manager at Outfront Canada, where he worked for 14 years. He’s also worked on the agency side with gigs at Mediacom and Leo Burnett.

Reprise promotes Alana Diehl
After a year working with digital-focused agency Reprise Digital, Alana Diehl has been upped from an account manager to associate director of social. Diehl will develop social strategy and focus on best practices for brands executing paid social campaigns. Diehl previously worked on the social side for Mindshare Canada, and also served as a marketing intern for Kellogg Company of Canada in her post-graduate days.

Conversion Digital makes three moves

Digital agency Conversion Digital has made three appointments focusing on its content strategy and client services offering. David MacLeod has been promoted to CSO, while it has hired Marnie Kramarich and Jeff Moores, both formerly from Ariad Communications. Kramarich will serve as SVP of client solutions while Moores will join as VP of client services.
