Cue’s deal with LaPresse integrates sales staff, GroupM boosts Xaxis analyst.

Cue Digital absorbs digital sales vets

Following a game-changing deal with LaPresse, Cue Digital has brought on Fiona Stedman as sales manager and Mona Kiriakopoulos as senior account director. Stedman brings more than 15 years of working in the digital media industry in former positions with Rogers Publishing, Evolve Media and most recently, director of brand management at LaPresse. Since 1998 Kiriakopoulos has worked in the digital media industry with the Toronto Star, Olive Media and most recently, LaPresse.

MightyHive bulks up Canadian leadership

Michelle Cunningham has been appointed sales director overseeing western sales operations in the programmatic market for the media consultantcy’s Vancouver office. Formerly a key figure in Metrolyrics.com’s acquisition with CBS Interactive, Cunningham then became the top sales executive in  the tech, games and lifestyle division at CBS. Most recently, she served as senior manager of client development at Mediative.

In the Toronto office, Brian Schwartz will manage the company’s operations in the programmatic market, having been appointed enterprise consulting lead. Schwartz previously led a team of programmatic traders in verticals with more than a decade in search, display, and analytics.

MediaTonik appoints longtime sales veteran

MediaTonik has welcomed a new national account director, Heidi McLeod. McLeod previously led teams in cross-platform digital print and content sales for StarMetro brands and Sun Media. Her hiring comes following a period of wins for the Montreal-based rep house, including Logis Quebec, JobBoom, Réseau Contact, Homme, Mieux-Etre and Moi Parent in the Toronto market. McLeod will be based in Toronto.

Statements Media hires new VP

Paul Gittens is the new VP of sales for OOH media company Statements Media. Gittens has been in the ad sales business for two decades, with previous roles at Astral Media, Captivate, and, most recently, IMA Outdoor, a division of Pattison. Statements is set to launch new media channels including digital taxi toppers. Gittens’ primary focus will be building relationships with advertisers and agencies.

GroupM promotes Shea Sullivan

After four years with programmatic agency Xaxis in account management and ad operations analyst roles, Shea Sullivan has been promoted to ad operations supervisor at GroupM, Xaxis’ parent agency. Sullivan has also previously worked for Addictive Mobility.
