Red Magnet, the Omnicom outpost created exclusively for the agency’s business with Rogers Communications, has named Devyn Perry managing director.
Formerly the group strategy director at Wavemaker, Perry also served as director at the agency when it was Maxus Global, worked as a national account exec with Québecor and as strategy director at Starcom.
Perry feels Red Magnet, a bespoke creation for Rogers is a transformational approach to the business that brings agency partners under one roof, seeing media work collectively with digital and creative agencies Critical Mass, DDB and BBDO. “Media and creative, more and more, are not two separate entities,” she says. “They need to work together to fuel success.”
Because that model has the ability to go to market faster, making sure data is fueling everything, Perry was attracted to the role, which she describes as making sure that digital transformation is at the core of every decision. Rogers is in a unique position, she says, because of the amount of data available. “We’re now more in the technology era where there’s art and there’s science and they’re brought together,” she says, “that really has data lying underneath everything.”
