People Moves: Media City, Quebecor and more

Vendors are staffing up across the OOH industry.

LeithOOH veteran moves to Media City

Media veteran Leith Mason (pictured left) joins OOH and place-based media company Media City as an account executive. Mason previously worked on the agency side, with stints at Novus and OMD, as well as on the sell side, managing accounts at The Globe and Mail and La Presse. Her career has long focused on OOH, and she was a recipient of the Ad Club’s OOH Buyer of the Year. This year, she serves as the Ad Club’s OOH Showdown chair. Media City specializes in indoor ads in office networks, shopping centres and other digital OOH properties.

Quebecor snags sales talent from Bell Media

Nathalie Tardif joins Quebecor Media as an account manager. She has worked in media since 2002 and spent the last 13 years with Astral/Bell Media. During her time at Bell Media, she focused on the OOH market as well as radio, television and display, specializing in local sales. Now at Quebecor, she will work as an account manager with direct clients, developing and growing advertising customers across Quebecor’s properties. She will report to Natalia Tavares, senior director of client solutions.

Branded cities onboards new account exec

Zach Beach is moving from Cineplex to Branded Cities, where he will work as an account executive. Beach described the move as “a homecoming,” having spent nearly a decade in OOH media as a planner and buyer. He got his start stateside with U.S.-based OOH-specializing agency OOH Pitch, before moving to Horizon Media where he spent six years specializing in OOH planning in progressively senior roles. From there, he moved to Canada where he spent five years as an account executive with Cineplex (Cineplex Media). Now, he’s managing accounts at Branded Cities in Toronto. The OOH vendor recently expanded its large-format portfolio in a big way, after winning the 2019 RFP issued by property management co BentallGreenOak to gain the OOH rights to the northeast corner of Yonge-Dundas Square.
