Just in time for football season, global sports streaming service DAZN has teamed up with Verizon Media to give NFL fans in Canada “More Football.”
The two have partnered to launch a weekly video podcast show that’s being hosted by Canadian sportscaster Adnan Virk, along with YouTube personality Voch Lombardi and writer Richard Johnson. They will be joined each week by special guests such as NFL players, with new episodes airing every Thursday.
The branded content deal is meant to help DAZN engage with football fans and drive brand awareness and engagement for its service. The show is meant to appeal to an audience of football fans who not only love to watch the games but also discuss the action, with the ultimate goal to drive subscriptions for DAZN’s streaming service where NFL games are broadcast live through its platform in Canada.
More Football will stream across Yahoo Sports’ editorial and social channels in Canada, as well as audio platforms that offer podcasts. The content will also be packaged into shorter video clips and distributed across the Verizon Media ad platform to football and fantasy football fans across third-party premium publishers to drive further engagement.
There will be DAZN branding across the show through visual and audio cues, as well as other promotional ads for DAZN’s streaming services that are being promoted across the Verizon Media ecosystem.
