Telcos made the Toronto radio market’s top 10 category rankings last week, with QSRs, lotteries and food and beverage maintaining their lead, according to the latest Media Monitors numbers.
At the account level, Fido Internet’s radio investment garnered it fourth place – behind Goodfood, OLG and Speedy Glass – accounting for the entire ISP category play count with 1030 spots. Meal delivery service Goodfood is returning to the top of the list in Toronto, taking the top spot from OLG after several weeks.
In Montreal, the insurance provider category hit the top three by increasing its play count by over 100% (638 from 305), behind longstanding leading government and financial services sets.
Belairdirect hit second place in the Montreal radio market from outside the rankings with a play count of 303, still well behind the provincial government’s 907. Bell Mobility jumped from 14th to third spot at the account level.
Categorically, insurance providers also made a big move in the Toronto market, moving from 152 to 987 for 10th place, which was largely due to Belairdirect’s 956 spots and sixth-place ranking.
