Starcom Canada has added to its executive team and bolstered its digital practice by promoting Randy Carelli to EVP, managing director, and and Clare Street to SVP, digital and data.
The newly created roles are in response to rapid growth at the media agency over the last year, Starcom president Christine Saunders, tells MiC.
“Naturally the first thing we did was recognize our own people – Clare and Randy are a great example of strong leaders at Starcom who helped drive this growth for us,” she says.
After almost two decades with Starcom – most recently as SVP and group digital director – Carelli (pictured left) will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of managing the overall agency business.
He started at Starcom in 2001 as a strategy planner, building an affinity for tech clients over time. In his broader executive role, he will work closely with Saunders with a mandate to ensure consistency across the agency’s portfolio.
Street (right) is returning to her roots in the new digitally-focused role, where she will be leveraging the Publicis Media Exchange network to make sure digital activities across all clients are in line with available capabilities and trends.
She started at Starcom in the U.K. in 2010, working with brands like Heineken, Avon and Spotify before moving to Toronto to take on digital planning and strategy for TD Canada Trust.
