CPL partners with ComeOn!

The new partnership relies on the ongoing popularity of sports betting to drive fan engagement for the soccer league.

The Canadian Premier League is now playing with ComeOn! making the online gaming company the official sports betting and online casino partner of the professional men’s soccer league in Canada.

The multi-year deal puts the sports betting company’s logo on CPL club jerseys, starting with the 2021 season, which will be unveiled soon. It will also be the title sponsor of the ComeOn! Match of the Week every Sunday on the CPL’s exclusive broadcast media partner, OneSoccer.

The ComeOn! Match of The Week will feature a marquee match each week of the CPL season, with ComeOn! activating in a full suite of broadcast assets like commercial spots, in-game brand placements and additional broadcast inventory such as logo integration into the OneSoccer studio and programming. Other planned integrations will also include a custom OneSoccer show, CPL Week in Review presented by ComeOn! every Monday, featuring a wrap-up of each week’s matches and a look ahead to upcoming fixtures.

ComeOn! will also be part of original content, with co-branded editorial material appearing on all CPL channels including news platform CanPl.ca, all CPL and the social channels of its eight soccer clubs – Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. There are currently no plans for advertising outside of the CPL environment.

Additionally, as part of the agreement negotiated by Canadian Soccer Business, ComeOn! will have prominent placement in the CPL Predictor game, an interactive digital gaming experience that allows fans to predict the action for every club match this season and win great prizes.

CPL has partnered with other premier brands such as Volkswagen, WestJet, Macron, Allstate, Gatorade and New Era to further engage the Canadian soccer community through the creation of compelling, programming, content and gamified initiatives.
