Season finales controlled the national TV ratings for the week of June 7 to June 13, with the season-ending episode of The Good Doctor taking back its top spot, followed by the season finale of New Amsterdam, according to the latest numbers from Numeris.
The season finale of Rebel also made the top five national rankings – following reports that the new series would not be renewed for another season – along with the return of Masterchef for its 11th season.
As teams have gotten eliminated, NHL playoff hockey didn’t make the same mark in Canada compared to the previous week, although the game four sweep for the Canadiens over the Jets on TVA took the number one spot in French Quebec, followed by the French-version finale of Hôpital New Amsterdam.
Sports programming was still in demand for some markets, with the Euro 2020 preliminary round match between Turkey and Italy making the top five in both Toronto and Montreal.
