Joe Peters headshotFormerly MiQ’s SVP of strategy, Peters (pictured left) steps in as MD, a role previously held by Alfie Atkinson, who was appointed CEO of the programmatic media partner in Jan. 2020. Peters will spearhead the full operational structure of the team, while providing direction and leadership to the Canadian business overall.

Barrett joins MiQ in a newly-created role and takes a seat as a member of the Canadian leadership team. Reporting into Claire Jones, SVP of operations, she is tasked with evolving the growing account management department and working closely with the commercial and trading teams, Barrett will support fostering existing client business and uncovering new commercial channels and opportunities.

“MiQ has three main priorities for the remainder of the year: product and client diversification, business intelligence, and growing our people,” Atkinson tells MiC. “Both Joe and Suzan’s remits will fit exclusively within these three focus areas.”

Peters will be working closely with the product and solutions engineering teams to ensure MiQ is adapting its channels to align with changes to the Canadian market, such as its latest advanced TV solution.

Suzan Barrett HeadshotCanada is one of MiQ’s fastest expanding markets, reporting 86% year-over-year growth. In response, the company has added 16 new hires since late 2020, and Peters is positioned to manage the growing team, continuing to report in and working closely with Atkinson.

Most recently, Barrett (pictured, right) was the VP at Orion, part of IPG MediaBrands. Prior to that, she was VP of media at Dentsu, and group director of strategy at OMD.
