Volkswagen had another big week on the radio airwaves in both Toronto and Montreal.
Media Monitors data for the week of July 19 – 25 shows the automaker bought the most airtime in the Toronto market, while also purchasing the second-most in Montreal, behind the Government of Quebec, which has frequently been the top buyer in the market over the last year.
Though Volkswagen was the only automaker in the top ten, auto brands were the most active category in the Toronto market last week, followed by QSRs and lotteries.
Goodfood, OLG and Belairdirect also kept their radio buys strong in Toronto last week, with Shell and the LCBO increasing their buys to jump into the top ten.
In Montreal, Honda, Belairdirect and the Toyota Dealers Association rounded out the top five advertisers, resulting in ads from governments, automakers and financial services topping the category rankings.
