With the summer in full swing, unscripted shows have been taking up the most of Canadians’ viewing time, according to Numeris ratings for the week of July 12 to 18.

America’s Got Talent topped the national rankings, as well as those in every English-speaking market besides Edmonton. It was followed by Global procedural Private Eyes – also a strong performer in other markets – and then by each of the three new Big Brother episodes that aired on Global that week.

The Big Brother episodes were also sprinkled through the top five in several other markets, where Masterchef and Island of Bryan also made multiple appearances.

For Francophone viewers, TVA dominated the ratings, with Hôpital New Amsterdam jumping up to the number one spot, followed by a rebroadcast of the 2015 Just For Laughs gala and S.W.A.T.
