7-Eleven extends TSN hockey partnership into gaming

The convenience retailer will now sponsor all of BarDown's sports video game related content.

TSN and 7-Eleven have further extended their ongoing partnership around sports with the addition of a multi-platform sponsorship of all BarDown gaming content.

After sponsoring TSN’s Power Rankings for two NHL seasons, 7-Eleven built on its activity by becoming the naming sponsor for That’s Hockey in 2018.

Now, that integration also includes a weekly gaming segment on 7-Eleven That’s Hockey featuring a BarDown personality chatting all things sports video games with a TSN Hockey analyst, as well as digital Sportscentre features focusing on topics and storylines around the world of sports and gaming.

7-Eleven also continues as title sponsor of 7-Eleven That’s Hockey, TSN’s longstanding daily hockey news show. This partnership includes integration into various show segments and content, with a daily feature to highlight great saves, bloopers, video breakdowns, stats leaderboards and storylines for each of the seven Canadian NHL teams.

The partnership also includes the sponsorship of TSN’s YouTube gaming content, including the biweekly gaming series BarDownloadable; monthly quiz videos; and bi-monthly episodes of “Franchise Mode,” a content play featuring a BarDown personality playing through a season of the eponymous EA¬†NHL game series.

All 7-Eleven sponsored content is available on the newly created 7-Eleven BarDown Gaming hub.

For 7-Eleven 7 Rewards loyalty program members, the retailer has introduced the “Game Time, Anytime 24/7″ contest to win a $2500 road trip by scanning in-store purchases with 7Rewards or using the 7Now delivery service.
