There was little change in Toronto and Montreal’s most active radio advertisers last week, according to Media Monitors.
Metrolinx once again bought the most spots in Toronto, with GO Transit holding onto the top spot amid its fall campaign, while also increasing the spots for the UP Express, lifting it to fifth. OLG bought slightly more to move up one spot to second, Speedy Glass moved from fifth to third, while Subway held on to fourth.
Categorically, while automakers were still active enough to land in third, they dropped significantly from last week, leaving room for banks and transit services to move into the first and second slots.
In Montreal, the Government of Quebec continues to be the most active radio advertiser, followed once again this week by Bell Mobility. Beliardirect, Subway and Consolidated Credit Counceling Services took the next three spots, with slight boosts in their own ad buys.
Though there was a slight drop in total spots compared to last week, government ads continued to be the most prevalent on Montreal radio, while banks and financial services jumped into second. Wireless carriers and internet companies, which had the second-most spots last week, dipped into eighth.
