Havas picks new North American CEO
Greg Walsh has been promoted to North American CEO for Havas. Previously the company’s North American COO, Walsh has been tasked with working with the rest of the North American leadership team to drive growth and client prospects across Canada and the U.S. He reports to Havas global CEO Peter Mears.
Havas’ North American leadership team previously expanded in the spring when it hired Meghan Grant from Publicis to be chief strategy officer for its media group.
Walsh takes over the North American CEO role from Colin Kinsella, who left the company after nearly five years in the role in January. Kinsella has since joined the board of programmatic company Fenestra.
Neal Covant named CRO for SponsorPulse
IMI International has promoted Neal Covant to a new role as CRO for the company’s SponsorPulse division.
SponsorPulse is IMI’s database and insights platform geared towards sponsorship, using its global data sources to evaluate and compare different sponsorship opportunities across different sectors using seven key metrics. The CRO role is a new one for the division.
Covant is a long-time exec at IMI, having joined the insights and consulting firm in 2005 as director of consumer insights and taking on the role of VP of client services in 2012.
GymTV makes two appointments on its Canadian team
Zoom Media has made a hire and senior promotion to its GymTV team, which it says were made in response to “an influx of activity” it has been seeing as gyms and fitness clubs have reopened across Canada.
Lisa Santangelo has been hired as national account director, tasked with Canadian advertisers. Santangelo was most recently at Bell Media, where she managed an account portfolio for its national and specialty networks.
Sophia Ouarab has been promoted to marketing and national account director in Canada, managing national accounts in the Quebec market. Ouarab joined Zoom in 2013 and was most recently its marketing and research supervisor, and she will continue to handle marketing and research initiatives in her new role.
GymTV operates digital screens in over 750 gyms in Canada, with a global network that covers 25,700 screens in 5,000 internationally.
