Bell, McDonald’s boost their radio buys: Media Monitors

Both brands made big buys in Toronto and Montreal last week.

Bell and McDonald’s boosted their buys last week, according to Media Monitors.

After taking a break last week following more than a month of steady radio buys, both brands took the top two spots in the Toronto radio market.

OLG (#3), Speedy Glass (#5), Subway (#6) and Desjardins (#7) also continued to be strong spenders, having each dropped by only one or two spots from the week prior. Categorically, that translated to banks and financial services buying the more ads, followed by QSRs and lotteries.

In Montreal, the Government of Quebec was once again the most active radio advertiser, but was followed by McDonald’s, EPRA, Volkswagen and Bell, all of which jumped into the top ten after not being in Media Monitor’s list the week prior. Categorically, public service, QSR and government ads had the biggest presence on the city’s radio stations.
