Mediacom picks up AOR duties for Sunwing

As the leisure airline returns to the skies, the agency will help take its marketing capabilities forward.,

Mediacom has been named the paid media agency of record for leisure airline Sunwing, as well as its last-minute vacation booking site SellOffVacations.com.

The win came following an RFP process that included “several leading agencies.”

Samantha Taylor, who became CMO at Sunwing last year at the outset of the pandemic that largely took the company’s flights out of the skies, says one reason Mediacom was chosen was due to its committment to leveraging technology to drive results. Besides being suited to tackle the challenges Sunwing and other travel comapnies are facing as they emerge from the pandemic, Taylor says, the company is looking to push its marketing capabilities forward.

Mediacom Canada president Urania Agas adds that Mediacom’s capabilties will be put to particular use helping Sunwing “manage the major challenge of unpredictability” in the travel space.

Sunwing previously worked with independent agency VMC Media.

Other new marketing endevors Sunwing has adapted recently include a partnership with Wattpad.
