Canadians were eager to get an early listen to new material from Adele, according to Numeris data for the week of Nov. 8 to 14.

The singer’s Nov. 14 primetime special, Adele: One Night Only, in which she performed songs from her then-to-be-released album 30, brought in just over 2 million viewers for Global.

Behind that was the CTV police drama Blue Bloods making a rare push for the top spot. Rounding out the top five were some of Global’s usual suspects: NCIS, 9-1-1 and Survivor.

Regionally, Adele’s special was also the most-viewed program in Toronto/Hamilton, Vancouver/Victoria and Calgary. In Edmonton, it split the audience with a new episode of History’s The Curse of Oak Island, which aired at the same time as the special and tied it for first.

French language ratings were once again topped by TVA’s adaptation of The Masked Singer, followed by Revolution and Radio-Canada’s Discussions avec mes parents. One slight change in Francophone ratings from recent weeks was the first episode of comedian Jean-Marc Parent’s four-part special JMP premiering in the top five with 1.186 million viewers.
