Staples Canada picks Jungle Media as AOR

The agency will handle media buying needs as the retailer continues on its business transformation.

Jungle Media has been chosen by Staples Canada as its national media buying agency of record following an extensive RFP process.

The agency will lead Staples Canada’s traditional planning and media buying across the country including print, radio, OOH, TV, and digital, and offer strategic input into the brand’s supporting media tactics. Jungle Media has already begun working with Staples and has been tasked with growing momentum around the brand’s “Let’s Find Out” campaign.

Since 2018, Staples has been redefining its brand from an office supplies retailer to “The Working and Learning Company,” which has included new investments in its retail experience, as well as an emphasis on things like co-working spaces and design services. To support this, it was looking for “innovative and creative” minds in media to help make the rebrand a reality.

“This is ultimately why we selected Jungle. Beyond the agency’s ability to deliver maximum value from our budgets, the rigor we’ve felt since the start of our partnership has been impressive,” says Dave Mazzone, VIP of marketing at Staples Canada.

To execute Staples Canada’s brand refresh, Jungle will work in tandem with other agencies of record including Jackman Reinvents, which is handling creative.

The new selection ends Staples’ relationship with Dentsu Media, which has been handling media duties for the company since 2018.
