Planet Fitness tops radio charts in Toronto: Media Monitors

In Montreal, Nissan Kicks bumped the Government of Quebec out of the top spot.

Planet Fitness increased its radio ads the week of April 4 to 10 to become the top radio advertiser in Toronto, according to data from Media Monitors.

The gym chain had 860 radio spots last week, while Spence Diamonds increased its radio buys to 794 ads, jumping up to the second place from fifth. CAA had 711 ads as the third most active advertiser.

In Montreal, Nissan Kicks bumped the Government of Quebec out of the top spot with 473 ads last week. The provincial government was the second most active advertiser with 378 ads.

Categorically, businesses and consumer services, public services, and banks had the biggest presence on Toronto radio, while wireless and internet services, wireless carriers, and cars and trucks were the most active in Montreal.
