Financial companies and telcos kept up their presence on the radio last week, according to Media Monitors data.
In Toronto, Simplii Financial maintained its spot as the most active radio advertiser, with Telus keeping its third place position with a campaign for its new Streaming+ bundle packages, as well as for the radio element of its new masterbrand campaign. In addition, Planet Fitness and Toyota Parts & Service both launched new radio buys, entering the Media Monitors list in second and fourth place, respectively. Subway and Spence Diamond also maintained strong buys from the previous week.
In Montreal, Virgin Plus held onto its top spot, with Telus sticking around in the top ten. But the Government of Quebec jumped ahead to second, re-taking its familiar spot near the top of the list, followed by Subway, which dropped one spot from the previous week. PC Financial also maintained a strong buy, with Hyundai and McDonald’s making big leaps up the list.
Categorically, banks, QSRs and business services were the most active brands in Toronto, while business services, wireless carriers and QSRs made up the top three in Montreal.
