Omnicom Media Group Canada has hired Bettina Heimrath as president of its agency Hearts & Science Canada.
In her new role, Heimrath has been tasked with “growing the Hearts & Science ethos” in Canada, which is to help brands build relationships with individual consumers at scale using data and technology. Heimrath adds that one of her priorities will be continuing to expand and invest in the agency’s talent, tools and technology to remain a vital partner for current clients and position the agency for further growth.
Heimrath spent nearly eight years in senior roles with Spark Foundry until leaving late last year, at which point she was leading the agency’s national offering as EVP and managing director.
“Bettina’s strength in knitting together the many diverse skill sets, and capabilities required to drive client success in tomorrow’s increasingly complex media environment will ensure that Hearts & Science brings the best of everything that Omnicom Media Group has to offer to all its clients,” says Cam Reston, CEO of OMG Canada.
Nancy Surphlis had been leading the agency’s Canadian operations on an interim basis since CEO Shane Cameron left the agency last fall. She will be working with Heimrath through the transition as she shifts focus back to her role as chief investment officer for OMG Canada.
