Mindshare Canada has hired Lesley Conway to be its new CEO, effective immediately.
Conway will oversee Mindshare’s 200 person Canadian team and lead the agency’s “Good Growth” proposition, which aims to drive sustainable business growth for clients. She will also be a member of Mindshare’s global executive committee and the leadership committee for parent organization GroupM across the region.
Conway spent the last four years as president of programmatic company Hatch64, but brings more than 25 years of experience working in senior roles at the likes of Bell and Astral, in addition to running her own consulting agency.
Another thing on the horizon for Conway is the global integration of Mindshare with performance agency Neo. First announced in 2020, finalizing the integration was one of several parts of a global restructuring GroupM announced last month.
Mindshare also won AOR duties for General Mills Canada in March, and held on to media duties for Rogers after its dedicated agency Theo was dissolved.
Mindshare’s previous Canadain CEO Devon MacDonald left the agency early last year. Interim leadership for the agency was handled by GroupM Canada CEO, who himself left the company last fall and later became CEO for Allvision.
