The Home Depot buys the top in Toronto: Media Monitors

The retailer also had a strong presence in Montreal.

As Canadians venture into their backyards again this summer, The Home Depot is putting some muscle behind reaching them with a new radio campaign, according to Media Monitors’ data for the week of June 6 to 12.

The home improvement retailer bought the most spots in Toronto last week, with Air Transat and President’s Choice each dropping a single spot. Subaru jumped up the list to take fourth, with Fido starting a new radio push behind its internet services in fifth.

The Home Depot and Fido were also second- and third-most active in Montreal, respectively, with Virgin Plus holding on to the top spot for another week. Hyundai also kicked off a new radio push in fourth, while Air Transat dropped a single spot from last week to fifth.

Categorically, banks, QSRs and public service organizations were the most active radio advertisers in Toronto, with wireless, internet and public service brands the most active in Montreal.
