Blue Ant Media has elevated two execs as it continues to rev up its ambitions in the free, ad-supported TV (FAST) lane.
Craig Junner (pictured left) has been promoted to SVP, programming and content strategy, global media, while Andrea Harrick (pictured right) has been named VP, content acquisitions, global media.
Junner was previously upped to VP, programming, Canadian media in 2020 to oversee the Toronto-based company’s linear channels and its SVOD and AVOD strategy. He will continue in that role with this latest promotion, helming Blue Ant’s growing FAST expansion.
The media company has launched several FAST channels – HauntTV, Total Crime, CrimeTime, Homeful and, most recently, HistoryTime – in less than two years. Its portfolio of FAST channels also includes Love Nature, launched in 2020.
Harrick is responsible for leading the company’s acquisitions, having already secured “thousands of hours of programming” as part of the FAST channel rollout, according to a news release on the promotions. She has been with Blue Ant since 2011 and previously held the title of director, acquisitions.
Jamie Schouela, president, global media said in a statement that the promotions are a reflection of “the work ahead as we continue to create new free streaming channels for platforms around the world.”
