Blue Ant adds Mike Holmes content to FAST offering

In addition to over 200 hours of existing content for Homeful, a new deal will also see the company commission new DIY content.

Blue Ant Media has finalized a deal with The Holmes Group for the purchase of over 200 hours of programming from the Mike Holmes’ library of home renovation series and specials, adding a popular face to one of its free ad-supported streaming channels.

The deal gives Blue Ant Media ownership of over 200 hours of programming from the past two decades, including all seasons of Holmes on Homes, Holmes Makes it Right and Holmes Inspection, alongside specials such
as Holmes for the Holidays, Holmes in New Orleans and Mike’s Ultimate Garage.

The content will air exclusively in FAST on Homeful, Blue Ant’s free streaming channel, with other windows licensed by Blue Ant.

Homeful launched earlier this year, the company’s fourth ad-supported streaming channel, with a focus on home renovation, DIY and real estate content.

In addition to the Holmes back library, Blue Ant is commissioning new productions featuring Mike Holmes and his family for its Canadian TV platforms and Homeful.

As current licenses with other distributors expire, the content will launch on Homeful over the coming months will air in Canada and the U.S. on platforms such as Roku, LG and Xumo. Blue Ant International now holds distribution rights to the Holmes’ catalog, which will debut at Mipcom 2022 this fall.
