Pattison Outdoor has expanded its partnership with OC Transpo, bringing ads to Ottawa’s rail transit system.
All 13 stations along the O-Train Line 1 have now been equipped with a variety of transit displays, which will also allow Pattison to offer advertisers full station dominations.
The first advertiser to utilize a station domination was the Ottawa Senators, which began its takeover of Lyon Station in the city’s downtown in late November, running until the holidays. The premium ad offering is now available to other advertisers through Pattison.
Line 1 – also known as the Confederation Line – runs from east to west across Ottawa and serves heavy commuter areas such as the University of Ottawa, Rideau Centre, ByWard Market and Parliament Hill.
According to Pattison, Line 1 can accommodate a maximum of 10,700 passengers every hour in each direction. The most recent data available from OC Transpo showed that ridership across all train lines and bus routes hit 63% of pre-pandemic levels in September, the highest since the pandemic began.
Through an exclusive contract, Pattison previously offered access to OC Transpo inventory on bus exteriors and interiors, as well as at bus stations.
