Sun Life and the Toronto Raptors are offering their health and wellness expertise to Canadians through a new platform full of free content and resources from the NBA team’s own health experts.
The “Sun Life Healthy You” platform has content related not just to fitness and nutrition, but also mental health, restful sleep and general well-being. For those looking to take their health journey further, SunLife.ca provides more health tools, articles and content focused on empowering Canadians at any stage of their health journey.
The platform is meant to give the average Canadian household access to trusted, reputable advice from team trainers, psychologists and nutritionists, framed as the kind of expertise that have has helped the Raptors create a championship culture.
A campaign promoting the platform is currently running during Raptors game broadcasts featuring coach Nick Nurse encouraging Canadians to take charge of their health and do as the Raptors do. Through a mix of broadcast, online and social media, Sun Life is aiming to reach Canadian families that are within the Raptors’ fanbase.
The integrated marketing plan includes 15-second TV spots airing during games across Sportsnet, TSN and NBA TV Canada. Sun Life is also putting a greater focus on digital to help create new relationships through YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. “Sun Life Healthy You” will also be advertised and promoted in-venue for fans at Scotiabank Arena through digital signage boards.
The new program is an extension of the longstanding sponsorship relationship between Sun Life and the Toronto Raptors, which was renewed in April 2022, making Sun Life the team’s Official Health and Wellness Partner.
