Montreal-based cost-per-click ad network SourceKnowledge has been acquired by commerce advertising company Mrge as it continues with its goals of global expansion.
Based in Germany, Mrge specializes in tools and ad formats geared towards media placements best suited to reaching customers at the right place in the customer journey. In addition to expanding its presence in North America, the acquisition also adds SourceKnowledge’s performance-focused programmatic offering to Mrge’s capabilities.
SourceKnowledge operates an ad network on a conversion-focused, cost-per-click model. It has worked with brands including, Wine.com, Chewy, Michael Kors, Macy’s and Womanizer, in addition to numerous publishers.
“Given SourceKnowledge’s publisher-first mindset and goal-based offerings for advertisers, there are clear synergies with our other entities and goals for global expansion,” said Michael von Stern, CFO of Mrge.
SourceKnowledge will continue to operate as its own company within Mrge. Other companies that are part of Mrge’s network include content and analytics network Digidip; product recommendation platform Shopping24; and performance marketing-focused AI company Yieldkit.
