Havas buys a majority stake in Noise Digital

In addition to bolstering its performance and capabilities, the agency group is growing its presence in Vancouver.

Havas Media Group North America has purchased a majority stake in media performance and data analytics agency Noise Digital, one of Canada’s largest performance, data and analytics agency groups.

Noise Digital will maintain its brand and integrate into HMG under the leadership of Noah Vardon, president of Havas Media Canada, and Greg Walsh, CEO of Havas Media North America.

Vardon says the acquisition allows the agency to expand its North American client base and enhance the data performance and technology services it offers tp clients.

“Noise has a significant presence in Vancouver, just under 50 people,” Vardon says. “In terms of immediate opportunity for us in Canada, it brings us to the west coast. We have a few people that are working virtually there, but it will give us a really strong base in Vancouver to be able to service clients there. That’s a significant impact for the business, which we’re excited about.”

Noise specializes in data consulting, digital marketing, media automation and marketing technology. It also operates its proprietary Connect platform, which manages digital performance and data technology, a priority for many Havas clients.

“It’s an exciting time for us in our growth and we want to continue to be able to unlock expanded tools and resources in Canada – and globally for our clients,” says Trevor Carr, founder and CEO of Noise Digital. “Havas Media’s focus on ethical, meaningful, and creative media leadership in a rapidly changing media environment is a bold way forward.”

Established in 1998, Noise is led by Carr and Louise Simkin, agency partner and CSO. It has offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Los Angeles, and counts Destination Canada, Destination BC, A&W, London Drugs and Save On Foods among its clients.
