Télé-Québec has added to its leadership team, promoting Geneviève Chesnay to VP of sales, media creativity and marketing.
In her new role, Chesnay has been tasked with developing closer ties with the advertising industry and guiding Télé-Québec through challenges and transformation in the market.
Chesnay first joined Télé-Québec in 2020, bringing experience from Bookmark (where she led work for Air Canada Media) and Quebecor. Last year, she took on management duties for Télé-Québec’s sales team after the departure of Katia Villeneuve.
In addition to Chesnay’s promotion, Télé-Québec is also growing its sales team, hiring Sylvie Lagouarde as a sales representative from TC Media.
Unlike other provincial public broadcasters, Télé-Québec runs ads in its programming. It operates 12 stations across Quebec, offering traditional ad formats, program sponsorship, product integration and digital ads on its website. According to the broadcaster’s own figures, it reaches 5.8 million viewers each month.
