Zitcha to manage retail media for Peavey Mart

The agricultural store marks the first step into North America for the Australia-based platform.

Australian retail media platform Zitcha has made its first move into North America with Canadian hardware and agricultural chain Peavey Mart.

Zitcha will manage the retail chain’s digital retail media ecosystem, including on-site, off-site and in-store media to drive new revenues from brand advertisers and enhanced customer experiences. With 90 stores in Canada and a strong ecommerce presence, Peavey Mart offers a broad ranch of agriculture, farm and ranch, pet, work wear, lawn and garden, hardware and homesteading supplies.

In Australia and New Zealand, Zitcha works with a number of liquor retailers, as well as electronics retailer Noel Leeming and cosmetics brand Adore Beauty. The expansion into Canada capitalizes on the growing retail media market, which GroupM predicts will hit $125.7 billion USD globally this year alone.

“North America is the most developed and competitive retail media environment in the world and a strategically important one for Zitcha,” says Nick Hinsley, chief commercial officer at Zitcha. He adds that the company is in discussions with a number of retailers in Canada and the U.S., but is “especially pleased” to support “a major brand like Peavey Mart” on its plans to develop its retail media offering.

Based in Red Deer, Peavey Mart’s parent company Peavey Industries also owns the Ace Canada and MainStreet Hardware retail banners.
