Bob Cornwall has joined The Trade Desk as its first-ever GM of client services in Toronto.
Cornwall reports to New York team leader Marybeth McGaugh, GM of client services at The Trade Desk, and was hired to meet a growing demand for the media buying platform’s services south of the border, according to the company in an email to MiC. The Trade Desk says it was looking for someone to build on its momentum in Canada.
The new GM will be responsible for building relationships with executive-level holding company leadership, as well as with those at large, mid and small tier advertisers. Cornwall has also been tasked with working with The Trade Desk’s Business Development leadership team to help the company scale in Canada.
The tech exec comes over from Google, where he spent nine years working within different roles, including being a member of the Global and the Canadian YouTube Ads leadership team. Prior to Google, Cornwall worked in marketing roles at Unilever, Kraft, and Mondelez.
“Bob brings to The Trade Desk an extremely unique viewpoint given his time at Google, as well as brand side with household names like Kraft and Mondelez,” said the company. “We could not be more excited to have him join our team in Toronto as we continue to expand our presence in the Canadian market.”
