Blue Ant Media has partnered with Canadian production and distribution company Muse Entertainment to launch a new FAST channel.
Love Drama is now available in Canada on streamers LG Channels and Pluto TV. The channel includes more than 300 hours of scripted movies and series from Muse. The prodco makes between eight and 12 family-targeted movies annually for buyers such as Netflix, Hallmark and Corus and has produced a number of dramatic series.
Holiday films are part of the library and includes fare like Love Christmas, which will be available throughout December and Welcome to Christmas, which follows a tourism promoter who finds love when she visits a small town to open a new ski resort; Holidaze (pictured), about a workaholic woman who wakes up one day with a different life; Marry Me at Christmas, the story of a bridal boutique owner who falls in love with the brother of one of her clients; and A Rose for Christmas, starring a woman who takes over the construction of a Rose Parade float and ends up falling in love with a client.
In January, Blue Ant will premiere thrillers and mysteries under a “Murder Mystery Party” theme, and in February, it will launch a series of scripted romantic films such as Two For The Win, about a ski champion who falls in love. Other series and movies premiering on the channel in the coming months include Muse-produced series such as The Kennedys and Bomb Girls.
“This partnership allows us to bring Muse Entertainment’s wealth of scripted Canadian-produced programming together with Blue Ant’s expertise in curating and operating international, genre-focused FAST channels,” said Blue Ant Media president of global channels and media Jamie Schouela in a release.
In addition to producing and distributing content, Blue Ant operates free-to-air streaming and pay-TV channels, including Love Nature, Cottage Life, Smithsonian Channel Canada, BBC Earth Canada, HauntTV, Homeful, Drag Race Universe, Total Crime and Love Pets. Its Homeful channel recently joined the FAST/AVOD service Samsung TV Plus.
