Spotted! Cadillac Fairview opens interactive indoor experience

The activation will be available at the CF Chinook Center mall in Calgary until spring of this year.

Cadillac Fairview is opening an interactive exhibit in one of its malls to give shoppers a break from reality.

The activation, called Mirror Mirror, will be available at Calgary’s CF Chinook Center until spring of this year. It invites visitors to participate in a journey through nine spaces with lights and sounds based on memory, imagination, dreams and consciousness. People can interact with each of the areas, whether by sharing memories from their mobile devices or by attending a tarot session to know their future.

Cadillac worked with Montreal-based multimedia entertainment studio Moment Factory to develop the experience. The Fever platform, which publishes information about immersive exhibitions and festivals available to locals in different cities, is promoting the activation.

This is Cadillac’s second partnership with Moment Factory to open Mirror Mirror at a mall, following Montreal and Adelaide, Australia. Moment Factory says the activation has been a success, as it is “a versatile solution that can be expanded and adapted to various sites seeking to diversify their entertainment offerings.”

“Venues aiming to offer engaging temporary or permanent experiences that increase dwell time—such as family entertainment centers, corporate spaces, shopping complexes, and pop-up events—are ideal settings for this attraction,” according to Moment Factory.

The two companies had previously collaborated in 2022 to set up another interactive experience at CF Carrefour Laval, in Quebec.

Cadillac Fairview’s Canadian portfolio comprises more than 60 properties, including the Toronto-Dominion Centre, the CF Toronto Eaton Centre, the Tour Deloitte and the CF Pacific Centre.
