The latest AdEase TV report shows that Leon’s Furniture has taken the top spot from McDonald’s on the charts for the week of Feb. 26 to March 3.

The furniture retailer went from being the fourth most active advertiser between Feb. 19 and 25 to dominating the market, with 2,463 occurrences, 1,028 more than week prior. It ranked first in Vancouver and Toronto, while coming in second in Calgary. The company has entered the AdEase top 10 the last three weeks.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s finished as the second most active marketer for the week with 1,886 total occurrences. Despite recording fewer occurrences than the previous week, the QSR is still buying big in Toronto, where it made 879 occurrences. Behind McDonald’s was The Brick. The retail company joined the AdEase list with 1,806 occurrences after a short gap since its last appearance in the second week of February. And Crave TV, which recorded 1,542 combined occurrences, ranked fourth, followed by Subaru, with 1,495.

Among the week’s biggest movers were Belairdirect Insurance, which climbed 24 positions to sixth in Montreal, and RBC Financial Group, which rose 25 positions to ninth in the same city.
