Stingray, the music and video content distributer, is launching a dozen channels in Canada on Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s ad-supported streaming service. The new channels will join the over 2,500 ad-supported linear channels available globally in 24 countries and across 561 million Samsung devices.
The collection, which will be available this week, includes Qello Concerts, which will air full-length concert films and documentaries; Stingray DJAZZ, which will deliver jazz performances and docs; and, Stingray Classica, which will do the same, only with a classical bent.
Stingray will also be bringing more audio-only channels, including SPA, Classic Rock, Smooth Jazz, Flashback for a journey through music’s greatest eras, Remember the 80s, Nothing but 90s, Easy Listening, Hip Hop, and Today’s K-Pop.
This partnership with Samsung comes on the heels of Stingray announcing that it would be providing audio advertising services to 152 Harnois Énergies Proxi and Proxi Extra convenience stores in Quebec, and 35 stores in the Atlantic provinces.
