Toyota dealers has taken the top spot from Rogers on the AdEase lists for the week of March 18 to 24.
The latest report from the monitoring company shows that Toyota scored 5,048 combined occurrences. The automaker joined AdEase’s top 10 last week with 749 occurrences in Montreal and 343 in Quebec. This time, it ranked second in Calgary, third in Edmonton and Ottawa, fifth in Quebec, sixth in Montreal and tenth in Vancouver. Calgary was the market where the company purchased the most advertising space, totaling 1,279 occurrences.
The Government of Alberta came in second place with 4,315 occurrences, including 2,350 in Edmonton, where it ranked first, and 1,965 in Calgary, where it also topped the list. The government also took the #1 spot in Edmonton the week before. Subway Restaurants, which has been buying big on the radio recently, scored 4,117 total occurrences, putting it in third place in the ranking, followed by Rogers Communications, with 3,802 combined occurrences, 1,868 fewer than the previous week. Spence Diamonds was the fifth-most active advertiser, with 3,328 total occurrences.
Overall, dealers had a significant presence on the list: Nissan notched up 1,904 combined occurrences, Mazda 1,095, Volvo 690, Chevrolet 635 and Cadillac 964.
On the creative side, Toyota ranked seventh in Calgary and Edmonton, with 1,257 combined occurrences of an ad highlighting the comfort of its vehicles, while the Government Of Alberta topped the lists with 1,875 occurrences of an spot about its efforts to refocus health care and prioritize patients.
