Toyota continues to be the most active advertiser on radio.

According to the latest AdEase report, the automaker notched up 6,302 combined occurrences in the week of April 22 to 28. The company ranked second in Ottawa, Vancouver and Quebec, third in Calgary and Edmonton, fourth in Montreal and tenth in Toronto. Toyota also topped the AdEase charts with 4,884 ad occurrences the week before.

Rogers Communications placed second with a total of 4,680 combined occurrences. The telco returned to the ranking after a short absence since its last appearance in the week of March 18 to 24, when it scored 3,802 occurrences. The third most active advertiser was IKEA, with 3,723 occurrences, followed by Tim Hortons, with 3,450, and Spence Diamonds with 3,266.

IKEA was also one of the week’s biggest movers, climbing 380 spots to fourth in Edmonton. Other advertisers that moved up significantly on the list were Rogers, which jumped 134 places to tenth in Calgary, and Desjardins Group, which rose 371 positions to eighth in Montreal. On the category side, furniture stores moved up 63 positions in Vancouver, internet services went up 32 positions in Montreal and import SUVs increased 24 positions in Calgary.
