Wealthsimple taps Mint as its experiential agency partner

The financial platform is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with activations across the country.

Getting people excited about talking money can be a challenge. To help make the topic easier to discuss, Wealthsimple has engaged Mint to invigorate its experiential strategy.

Wealthsimple is Canada’s fastest growing money management platform, and it’s looking to Mint to help it show up in “culturally savvy ways.”

So far this year, the independent agency has created several events for the platform, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2024. This year it will  launch a podcast with the brand, along with more events centred around its anniversary.

Mint has previously created a coffee hotspot for Wealthsimple in Toronto’s Financial District at Dispatch for two days in February. Passersby were treated to free coffee, a special print edition of the TLDR newspaper, custom cookies by Lindsey Bakes, and a chance to chat with Wealthsimple financial advisors about RRSPs. Mint also created a premium-happy-hour-style event in Montreal and Vancouver, exclusively for Wealthsimple Premium clients and guests, with live music. Similar events will soon launch in Calgary and Ottawa as well.

In the spring, Wealthsimple brought Apex Public Relations on as its PR Agency of Record.
