Vancouver-headquartered experiential shop Thinkingbox has named Corey Hankey its first chief operating officer (COO), reporting to president and CEO Amir Sahba and working out of Utah.
In this newly created role, Hankey will lead client relationship development for Thinkingbox’s full roster of brands, and will oversee the agency’s production practice as well.
Thinkingbox is a creative experience agency that works in strategy, creative, experiential and digital service offerings and has worked with such brands as Adobe, Riot Games, IKEA, Verizon and Starbucks.
“As Thinkingbox continues to scale, it has become obvious that we need an operations professional at the helm to help shoulder that growth,” says Sahba. “Over the years, [Hankey] has established a track record of building the trust our clients have come to expect from Thinkingbox, converting one-off projects to multimillion dollar retainers in the process.”
Hankey first joined Thinkingbox in 2008 as a flash developer rose through the ranks to his most recent role as managing partner. He developed the agency’s technology practice from the ground up, helping deliver creative services for brands including Adobe and Pfizer to name a few clients.
Prior to joining Thinkingbox, Hankey served as an executive producer for Utah-based digital agency Welikesmall, where he supported enterprise-level platform projects for the U.S. Air Force, Reebok and others.
