The latest AdEase report shows that McDonald’s continued to dominate the radio market in the week of July 15 to 21, with 14,344 combined occurrences (up from 10,392 occurrences between July 8 and 14).

The QSR ranked first in Vancouver, Edmonton, Ottawa and Quebec, and second in Montreal, among the advertisers that bought ads on radio.

Tim Hortons also increased its radio spending for a total of 7,412 occurrences during the week, as did Volkswagen dealers (6,616) and Toyota dealers (6,163). Chevrolet dealers, meanwhile, decreased its purchase from 2,124 to 1,826.

Among the brands that entered the AdEase rankings were Uber (Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto); British Columbia Automobile Association (Vancouver); Arby’s Restaurants (Edmonton) and Public Mobile (Toronto).

On the category front, the highest-spending groups were QSRs, import SUVs, furniture stores and dine-in restaurants and bars.
