The latest AdEase report shows McDonald’s was the most active advertiser for the week of July 22 to 28. However, compared to the week of July 15 to 21, the QSR decreased its buying.
The company notched 10,284 combined occurrences, while the previous week it recorded a total of 14,344 incidences. It ranked first in all markets, making the most occurrences in Vancouver (2,903). This marks the third week in a row that the brand has led the AdEase charts.
Toyota dealers also placed in the top 10 most active advertisers across all markets. The automaker reported 5,096 instances, 1,067 fewer than the prior week. Meanwhile, Tim Hortons made the list in all cities except Quebec, but – like Toyota and McDonald’s – the restaurant reduced their purchase, totaling 4,751 occurrences.
Arby’s Restaurants, one of the advertisers that joined the AdEase lists last week, continued to invest in radio. It ranked on the Edmonton list with 607 occurrences, according to the latest report.
In terms of categories, the highest-spending groups continued to be QSRs, import SUVs, furniture stores and dine-in restaurants and bars.
