Asian Television Network (ATN), Canadian broadcaster of South Asian and cricket programming, has acquired the Canadian distribution rights to OTT streamer, Sony LIV, which is owned by Sony Pictures Networks India.
Sony LIV, the first OTT service in India, was introduced in 2013 and carries content from its local networks, which include Bollywood blockbusters, television dramas, reality and comedy shows, as well as original programming produced for the streamer.
Sony LIV will be available through Telus, and ATN subscribers will have access to all of its content at special rates when bundled with ATN Sony Linear Entertainment Channels, as well as being available à la carte.
ATN serves Canada’s diverse cultural communities with over 50 specialty television channels. These include its flagship ATN-HD general interest service along with seven other general interest channels, three sports channels, seven news channels, five Bollywood movie channels, a variety of music and lifestyle programming, and several regional language channels that includes Punjabi, Tamil, Bengali, Urdu, Gujarati and Marathi.
