Reddit begins badge program for partners

Agencies that obtain certification will receive exposure through the company's various channels.

Reddit is launching a program that allows agency partners to acquire exclusive badges and become certified Reddit experts.

As part of the Official Partner Badging Program, the company has customized different credentials for each type of partner based on the Reddit Ads Formula certifications they have acquired and their overall investment. Certified sales partners who meet one of the requirements will receive a digital credential that can be shared. Those who meet all of the requirements will be designated as Gold Certified Sales Partners and receive exposure on the Reddit for Business website.

All certified partners will also receive early access to new Reddit Ads Formula certifications, personalized learning paths and other resources such as bespoke insights, webinars and trainings to better optimize their advertising strategies. They will also receive exposure in Reddit email newsletters, social media channels and the Reddit for Business website.

Reddit’s EVP of business marketing and growth Jim Squires said the company is launching the program as many partners recognize the value Reddit brings to their clients’ campaigns and want to expand their experience on the platform. “Partner Badges allow agencies to highlight their capabilities and better support their clients, particularly benefiting small businesses that often lack the resources available to larger brands,” Squires said.

Reddit Ads Formula initially launched in June 2022 and then in October 2023, the company launched the Boost 2.0 Certification Program as the second module of its Fundamentals program, which educates advertisers on everything they need to achieve success on Reddit. The Boost 2.0 program is being implemented as a pilot project, but the company says they’ve already seen partners like Aleph, Omni Advertising and GroupM continue to deepen their knowledge of Reddit Ads.

Since its launch, Reddit Ads Formula has been adopted by more than 5,800 partners, 50% of them holding companies and independent agencies. Some agencies and advertising partners are GroupM, PMG, Aleph and Dentsu.
