Toronto Maple Leafs and Calgary Flames ink new sponsorship deals

As the pre-season is set to begin, Oreo and Advanced Orthomolecular Research partner with the hockey teams.

When the Toronto Maple Leafs take the ice for their first pre-season match-up against the Ottawa Senators on Sept. 22, the team will have cookies on their minds, literally. Well, sort of.

As part of a new, multi-year sponsorship deal, Oreo is the Maple Leaf’s new helmet sponsor. As such, Oreo and Mondelēz Canada will be activating digitally, within retail, in the community and in-venue with Maple Leafs fans.

To mark the beginning of the partnership, Oreo and the Maple Leafs are hosting a special activation before the Leafs wear their cookie-branded helmets for the first time at the Maple Leaf Square prior to the pre-season game on September 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET.

Fans are invited to participate in games for the chance to win Maple Leafs and Oreo branded prizes, participate in photos, meet special guests and will be given complimentary Oreo cookies.

In other hockey sponsorship news, the Calgary Flames have partnered with Advanced Orthomolecular Research (AOR), a Calgary-based supplement manufacturer.

As part of the deal, AOR branding will be prominently displayed throughout the Scotiabank Saddledome, and the brand will be featured in various marketing initiatives alongside the team throughout the season.

Kevin Gross, VP of partnerships and broadcasts for CSEC, said, “We are proud to team up with a Calgary-based company that shares our commitment to wellness and performance, aligning with our core values of innovation and integrity.”
