McDonald’s continues to top AdEase’s ranking of the most active TV advertisers.
The monitoring company’s report for the week of Sep. 23 to 29 showed that the QSR dominated the market, with 2,426 total occurrences, landing first in Vancouver and Calgary, second in Montreal and third in Toronto. It also finished first in the specialist category on a national scale, with 2,765 incidences. McDonald’s has led the overall ranking for eight consecutive weeks.
Subaru ranked behind it with 2,299 total occurrences, followed by Leon’s Furniture with 1,886. Both advertisers boosted their buys compared to the previous TV buying week. Meanwhile, Interprovincial Lottery Corporation ranked as the fourth most active marketer of the week, with 1,080 occurrences, 87 less than last week.
On the category side, the highest-spending groups were QSRs, import SUVs, furniture stores and TV and streaming services. Advisory services, grocery stores and supermarkets and yogurt drinks, were the categories that moved up the list the most.
