The top spot in AdEase’s ranking of the most active radio advertisers has changed, according to its recent report. Desjardins Group returned to the head of the list between Oct. 28 and Nov. 3, as it did in the week of Oct. 14-20.

Desjardins notched up 6,193 total occurrences, landing first in Ottawa and Toronto, while coming in second in Montreal and third in Quebec. The advertiser, however, decreased its purchase compared to the previous radio buying week, when it registered 6,962 occurrences.

With 5,020 incidents, Government of Quebec was the second most active advertiser, ranking first in Quebec and Montreal, while finishing second in Ottawa. The government increased its spend, after recording 5,573 in the prior week.

The third most active marketer was Spence Diamonds, with 4,347 occurrences, followed by Subaru dealers (3,256), and Petsmart (2,258). All three brands increased their purchase from the past week. Other brands that made a high number of occurrences were Government Of Alberta (1,892); Wise Payments (1,761); PC President’s Choice (1,620); Sleep Country (1,623); and Metro (1,570).

Also standing out on the AdEase list was Advil, as it was one of the advertisers that increased the most in the ranking (106 positions in Vancouver), as well as Audible (365 positions in Calgary), and Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (260 positions in Toronto).

On the category side, some of the highest-spending groups were local government, advisory services and TV and streaming services.
