McDonald’s was the most active advertiser on radio during the week of Nov. 4 to 10, according to the latest AdEase report.

With 7,613 combined occurrences, the QSR landed first in Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton, fourth in Ottawa and Montreal, while coming in sixth in Toronto, and seventh in Quebec. The restaurant did not appear in the AdEase top 10 in the previous radio buying week, despite having 2,768 occurrences the week before (Oct. 21–27).

The second most active advertiser was Mark’s Work Warehouse, with 4,593 total occurrences. The retailer ranked second in Vancouver, third in Calgary and Edmonton, seventh in Toronto, and eighth in Montreal. It increased its purchase compared to the prior week.

With 4,381 occurrences, Spence Diamonds came in as the third most active advertiser, followed by Desjardins Group, with 4,081, and Subaru, with 3,293. Spence and Subaru increased their spend from the past week, while Desjardins decreased it.

Among the marketers that rose the most on the list were Nissan, which climbed 53 positions to ninth in Vancouver and 81 in Calgary; Government of Ontario, which moved up 80 positions in Toronto; and Dormez-Vous Sleep Centers, which increased 211 positions in Montreal.

On the category side, the top spending groups were QSRs, TV and streaming services, dine-in restaurants and bars, and local government.
